John Denver is a popular musician and singer who has been able to touch many by his lyrics. Many of these have roots in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr., born Henry John Deutschendorf from Roswell near New Mexico, fell in Love with Colorado. He settled in Aspen. A few beat a path towards Colorado following the Denver's cult anthems to his adopted state. I don't think there's any other performer who embodies Colorado such as John Denver said G. Brown curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. Denver was a member of the Hall of Fame as its the first member in 2011. He is now the symbol of Colorado to people around the world. When you encounter people from different countries, such as New Zealanders and ask them "I come originally from Colorado" and they instantly respond with "Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads, co-written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief stint as a folk musician which was Denver's first Top 10 solo hit. Danoff composed the song to Johnny Cash but Denver recognized its potential after hearing it first. After performing the song on stage in Washington D.C. to a huge crowd, the singer made a recording a few days afterward.
